The Jacob Delaney Band

Folk/ Singer-Songwriter

This project is a direct tip of my hat to the legends. Elvis, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, the list goes on.... The project is inspired by The Memphis Album by Elvis in 1969. Chips Moman captured Elvis at his peak and created some of the greatest songs of Elvis's career. The goal here is to capture the emotional vibe of 1960s Memphis Soul and Folk music.

The songs from this collection were sitting on cassette tapes collecting dust. After dusting the songs off and rewriting some of the original parts and lyrics, we arrive at our destination.

Every song was written between 1992-2000, with the exception of Was it a Good life which was written in 2024.

Hope you enjoy listening to these interpretations of my legacy songs!
